I’m disappointed in my final images but I learned a lot. I haven’t decided which one to use in the critique.

inSo attached is the final image. I did a good bit of cleanup in PS and LR, and the final composite consists of about 4 or 5 images. I didn’t use good enough fill light and so I did use Photoshop to smooth things out and I also blurred parts of the image to put focus where I wanted it. In hindsight, wished I had thought through some parts of the image more (safety razor vs. straight razor) but onward and upward or something. Also would have liked to spend more time on the illusion as it were, but time… is… up.

inThis was another set that I thought was a contender, but alas it came in 2nd place.

inThis was another striking shot.
I like the feeling the edited shot portrays. It has a solemn, but respectful feel.

inI have several shots I like, here is the big winner:
I did take a regular picture of the area, took a very slow picture while the model walked (but the sun was killing the idea of being able to use that straight from the camera) so though hence, the 3 image.

This is the final photo choice. This photo is a merge of 12 shots of the Aegon Building in Louisville, KY. Two objectives were tested here: 1) obtain a “fish-eye” looking using a standard wide angle lens and 2) exceed the normal capacity of a wide angle lens at it’s lowest focal point… and merge the images together using Photoshop. The challenge in Photoshop was figuring out how to merge vertical photos versus horizontal (natural format). Viola, objectives met and project complete.

inMost of the pictures I took at the hive in my friend’s yard were too dark too use. The shutter speed needed for capturing bee wings does not allow for 100 ISO. The PS image on the left is just for fun. The creature in the picture with the purple flowers is not a honey bee but I didn’t realize it till later.
